The following steps need to occur prior to filing your GAP:
English Level I must be satisfied and verified with your advisor.
Student must have a standing of "Graduate Classified" in Computer Science (If student was admitted as "Graduate Conditionally Classified", status must be updated to Graduate Classified prior to filing GAP.)
The following steps need to occur to file your GAP:
Bring an unofficial SFSU transcript to your advising appointment.
Fill out the online GAP form, print it, and bring it to the advising appointment.

GAP needs to be signed by the advisor.
GAP is turned into the office by the advisor and not by the student.
Once the GAP is signed the following occurs:
A copy of the signed GAP is placed in the student's folder.
Department Office processes signed GAP for further signatures and routing to the Graduate Division for final approval and processing.
Graduate Division reviews and either approves or denies the GAP.
